It is essential that you are able to use a database system, like People Planner and that you are familiar with rostering. You will have training. It helps to have the kind of brain that can work out puzzles, someone good with maths usually helps. Someone who has a good memory and who can work to a deadline and knows how to prioritize. A strong PA background or Office Administrator perhaps. Computer skills, basic Excel and Word must be evident. Organizational skills are essential. Every day is different - some days are quiet other days we are on all systems go. Therefore you do need to be a type of person who enjoys variety, things not being the same every day and who can prioritise. And is not thrown by working to a deadline

At the same time we would want you to oversee recruitment with our Manager. Ideally you have experience in recruitment. You would carry out interviews usually with our Manager or a Senior Carer. You must be happy to carry out interviews. Again you will have training.

We would love for you to have a care background or to want to do training to do a bit of care work. This would be to cover our week end on call (on a rota) and you may have to cover a support worker. Sometimes you may also need to support a client at home in the week.

This job role could suit someone looking to grow with us, learn new skills and create career progression in their work. There will be opportunity for job progression. Or it may suit someone who wants to work a regular 4 days a week, keeping a stable and satisfying job role.

You must understand we are growing and so systems could change as we are in this process of expansion. The good side of this is we will listen to your ideas and it can be a creative role because of this. The other important thing to know is we are independent and family run so our business owner is sometimes involved (not in the day to day). We do try and create a small business family feel at work. We are very different from larger corporate agencies.
